Newsteo, the specialist in wireless shock and temperature measurement, is now proposing a new tailor-made development service called "Your-Tracker". The clients submit their requirements to Newsteo, which then develops and produces the corresponding data logger, even for small series.
With considerable experience in the field behind it, Newsteo is launching a new service for its clients, called "Your-Tracker". This service is the latest in the offer of Newsteo Trackers, which enable the transport conditions for goods to be measured and registered for six months. The parameters to be monitored often vary from one application to another, which affects the means used. "Your-Tracker" enables the standard Tracker to be rapidly adapted to the client's needs:
- Adaptation of the battery type according to the autonomy sought
- Modification and repositioning of the integrated sensors
- Case adapted to the bulk, degree of watertightness or solidity sought
- Integration of radio and GPS/GPRS functions
- Certification with specialised laboratories
Newsteo's comprehensive expertise enables it to carry out this type of project to perfection, thanks to its control of the entire development and production chain. Nothing is left to chance, from the integration of the sensors to the adaptation of the data collector software (RF Monitor) and the mechanical adjustment of the product to its environment.
This unique service has been successfully implemented with several major French companies in the road, rail air and maritime transport sectors. It has given rise to a number of tailor-made versions, subsequently deployed in volume.
Standard and tailor-made Newsteo Trackers have been marketed for many years now, and have proved their worth in terms of reliability and efficiency. Fitted with multiple sensors, these sophisticated recorders constantly monitor the temperature, humidity, dew point, luminosity (making it possible to know if a parcel has been opened), shocks (± 6 g or ± 16 g accelerometer), free fall height and pressure. These data are recorded in the product's memory. When the parcel arrives, they are downloaded by radio transmission to a PC and a PDF report is automatically created. In a few seconds, the recipient of the parcel can know whether it has suffered any shocks or if the cold chain had been broken without even having to open it. The ability to pinpoint the origin of any problems arising during transport means that the situation can be remedied, and associated losses reduced.
Standard Trackers are marketed in Europe through a network of specialised distributors. The "Your-Tracker" service is proposed directly by Newsteo, which offers advantageous prices as from an initial series of around a hundred items for customisation.
