ESA – European Space Agency – is an intergovernmental space agency coordinating space projects carried out jointly by some twenty European countries. It employs 5,000 people and has an annual budget of 6.49 billion euros.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

THE MISSION<\/h3><\/div>

In 2019, ESA contacted Newsteo in connection with the transport of a robotic arm to be sent to the international space station. Ground transportation of this very valuable machine is critical. The arm has to be carried out to Baikonur, where the Russian Cosmodrome is located from where the robotic arm will be shipped to the ISS.<\/p>\n<\/div>

The goal?<\/u> ESA must know and monitor how the train transport, <\/strong>between Moscow and Baikonur, is carried out.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

THE NEWSTEO SOLUTION<\/h3><\/div>

Newsteo has equipped the ESA with 4 TRE35 shock recorders, for recording shocks on 3 axes, from -16g to + 16g and for recording the temperature. The recorders were installed on the transport cradle of the arm.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
